About Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce

Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce is a college in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The college was established in 1943 by the Deccan Education Society. It is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University.

About Shri. Vijay A. Chavan

Shri. Vijay A. Chavan, their erstwhile colleague was a truly popular presence on their campus. He was one of the most cherished faculties among students and was highly respected by his colleagues for his impeccable integrity. A very helpful and friendly academic, his sense of commitment was indeed contagious. He joined the institution in 2012 as an assistant professor in law faculty. He taught Business Regulatory Framework to the students of T.Y. BCom.

About the Event

  • The Moot Court Competition 2024 will be held on 10 February 2024.
  • The competition will be conducted in two sections; Law and Commerce. Teams from Law Colleges will compete against Law College teams and teams from Commerce colleges will compete against Commerce College teams. There are separate prizes for the Law and Commerce Sections.
  • The competition for Law Colleges will be held virtually.
  • The competition for Commerce Colleges will be held on campus.

Eligibility

The competition is open for undergraduate students of recognized Law and Commerce colleges/universities/institutes.

Team Composition

The team should consist of two mooters and one researcher only.

How to Register?

Interested individuals may register through the link provided at the end of the post.

How to Submit Memorial?

The participants should submit the soft copy of both memorials, in ‘.doc’ format, no later than 23:59:59 on the date of memorial submission at bmccmootcourt2023@gmail.com with the subject line “Submission of Memorials”.

Registration Fees

The registration fee is Rs 400/- per team.
