About the Course
CLRS’ Certificate Course on IPR Basics is a comprehensive exploration of Intellectual Property Rights designed for legal enthusiasts, professionals, and students alike. This program offers a deep dive into the fundamental pillars of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, providing participants with a solid foundation in the intricacies of IPR. Throughout the course, we aim to bridge theory with practical applications through engaging case studies and real-world examples.
Course Structure
The Course Structure is designed in a way that the learning of basics of IPR can move from Mugging up syndrome to fun-practical method; from a teaching process to an experimental process, from memorizing to brainstorming, from clearing the examination to feedback learning, from knowledge transfer to knowledge creation, from competitive learning to collaborative learning.
The content of the Online Certificate Course on IPR Basics has been divided into 10 carefully designed modules, which will be shared every week.
Syllabus
Introduction to Intellectual Property Law, Fundamentals of Patent Law, Exploring Copyright Law, Fundamentals of Industrial Design Protection, Understanding Trademarks, Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights, Traditional Knowledge, Protection of Semiconductor Integrated Circuit Layout Designs, Geographical Indications, and Trade Secrets and Confidential Information will be covered in the Course.

Faculty:
- Mr. Siddharth Saxena: Siddharth Saxena, serving as Teaching Associate at Dharmashashtra National Law University, Jabalpur, holds an LL.M in Intellectual Property Laws from National Law University Jodhpur and a B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) in Criminal Law from UPES Dehradun. He is also UGC NET qualified.
- Adv. Gyan Prakash Kesharwani: Mr. Gyan Prakash Kesharwani has pursued LL.M in Intellectual Property Laws from National Law University Jodhpur, India. Furthermore, he has bagged Best Speaker, Best Researcher and Best Mooter awards in conferences and moots respectively during his undergrad studies.
- Ms. Deepali Anand: Ms. Deepali Anand is an Assistant Professor at Acropolis Institute of Law. She holds an LL.M. from the Central University of Karnataka, specializing in Criminal Law. With a passion for legal education, Ms. Anand fosters a dynamic learning atmosphere, inspiring the next generation of legal minds to navigate the complexities of the law.
Exam Structure / Assessment Process
There will be quiz at the end of the course.
Terms of Passing: To be eligible to pass in the examination of the course a student should secure minimum passing percentage of 50% i.e. 50 marks out of 100 marks.
