About the Competition

The Seth Jagannath Bajaj Memorial RNBGU National Moot Court Competition, organized by RNB Global University, is a prestigious event that pays homage to the legacy of Seth Jagannath Bajaj, reflecting the university’s commitment to fostering legal excellence. This competition serves as a platform to enhance the legal acumen, reasoning, and advocacy skills of law students while providing an engaging forum for the exploration of complex legal issues.

With immense pleasure and honor, RNB Global University officially announces the 7th Seth Jagannath Bajaj Memorial RNBGU National Moot Court Competition, showcasing its dedication to advancing the goals of legal education and research. The competition is designed not only to test the participants’ understanding of legal principles but also to nurture a deep appreciation for the practical application of law.

Eligibility

• The Competition is open for students pursuing three/five-year L.L.B. Degree Course from recognized Law College/University in India, subject to fulfilment of the registration formalities.
• There is no cap on number of team participants from one university.

Team Composition

• Each team shall consist of three members. The substitution of any Team Member is not allowed after completion of the final registration except in extenuating circumstances at the discretion of the administrators.
• Each team shall consist of two speakers and one researcher.
• Each team shall be provided with a team code by the administrators which shall be mandatorily mentioned in the top right corner of the front page of the memorials.

How to Register?

To confirm participation, teams of every Institution should register themselves as per schedule by 1st March 2024. Each team is required to fill the details in the Google Form (attached at the end of the post) for the purpose of registration.

After registration, the teams are required to send an e-mail to mccrnb@rnbglobal.edu.in attaching the screenshot of the payment.

Fee

The Registration Fee applicable to all participating teams is Five Hundred only (Rs. 1500/-) without accommodation & Rupees Five Thousand only (Rs. 5,000/-) with accommodation & Rupees One Thousand.

Important dates

• • The final date for payment of this fee is 1st March 2024. The participants may refer the Annexure-1 (Page 30) for the payment details.
  • Participating teams may request clarifications to the official moot problem by sending an email to mccrnb@rnbglobal.edu.in. latest by 3rd March 2024 (11:59 PM).
  • A full list of clarifications shall be released by 5th March 2024.
  • Each Team must send a soft copy of their memorials by before 11th March 2024,
  • The researcher’s test would be conducted on 17th March 2024.
  • The Preliminary Rounds will be conducted on 15th March 2024.
  • The Semi – Final Round will be conducted on 16th March 2024
  • The winning teams from the Semi-final Rounds shall advance to the Final Round, to be held on 17th March 2024.
