About the IMS Unison University
IMS Unison University (IUU), a constituent of the Unison Education Foundation, was established in 1996 as the Institute of Management Studies. After having successfully contributed to higher education, the Government of Uttarakhand granted its approval to establish it as IMS Unison University in 2013. With a legacy spanning over 25 years – we’re proud of our pioneering history, distinguished present, and exciting future.
About the School of Law
The School of Law, IMS Unison University is one of the fastest-growing Law Schools in North India. It aspires to provide exceptional legal education by making it interdisciplinary, with a focus on the convergence of the disciplines of law, social science, humanities, and management studies. About the opportunity
- The IMS Unison University, Dehradun is organizing the 4th Edition of the National Mediation Competition 2024 from 19th January to 20th January 2024. Law Universities / Colleges / Institutes across the country are invited to participate in the competition and to be a part of this most respected and awaited competition in India. The competition is considered a flagship event of IMS Unison University, Dehradun which will provide a real-life enriching experience of mediation.
Subject Encompassed
All the Problems shall be based on either of the subjects, solely or in combination therewith:
- Family law
- Law of Contract & Commercial Laws
- Law of Tort
Eligibility
The Competition shall be open for ‘bonafide’ students who are pursuing an LL.M. Programme or Integrated Five-Year LL.B. Programme or Three-Year LL.B. Programme from any Institute/University in India. Such an Institute/University must be recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Best Team
The winning Team will receive a trophy and a cash prize of 8,000/- and a certificate of merit.
Runners-Up Team
The 1st Runners-up team will get a trophy and a cash prize of 6,000/- and a certificate of merit.
Best Student Mediator
- Best student mediator will get a trophy and cash prize of 4,000/- and a certificate of merit. Best Student Client:
- Best student client will get a trophy and cash prize of 4,000/- and a certificate of merit.

- A maximum of 14 Teams shall be registered on a first come first serve basis by properly filling out the Registration Form as provided in Google Links and submitting the Registration Fee.
