About DNLU, Jabalpur

Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (M.P.) was established in the year 2018, by Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University Act 24 of 2018, with the object of advancing the cause of legal education and achieving excellence as a university for imparting value-based legal education to undergraduate as well as postgraduate students.

DNLU is dedicated to providing high-quality legal education that prepares students to excel in the field of law and contribute to the legal profession and society at large.

About CITIL

The Centre for ‘Studies in International Trade and Investment Laws’ is a research and learning center at DNLU, Jabalpur. The center aims to bring together legal academics, professionals, students, researchers, etc., with the objective of disseminating of knowledge and encouraging research in the various realms of International Trade Law and International Investment Law.

About the Opportunity

This internship will center around researching and writing a report on Trade, Sustainability and Climate Change. The report’s format and content will mirror those of reports produced by the Law Commissions of India. Upon successful completion, the Centre will publish the report through a well-established publishing house. There are five maximum internship positions.

Eligibility

Only those individuals who have completed their 2nd year of a 5-year B.A. LL.B. integrated program or 1st year of 3-year LLB program are eligible for internship.

Mode of Internship

Virtual

Duration of Internship

To complete the internship, interns must actively participate for a minimum period of 30 consecutive days. The internship may be extended on the Director’s approval by one month.

Stipend

Upon successful completion of the internship, interns shall be eligible to receive a stipend of Rs. 2000/-, subject to satisfactory performance.

Important Date

Deadline for Application: 28th May 2024
Commencement of Internship: 20th June 2024

Selection Process

  • Interns will be shortlisted first based on their C.V.
  • Shortlisted interns will have to face a panel interview. In case the number of applications is huge which makes it impractical to conduct the interviews, then the applications shall be shortlisted based on the CV only.
