About the Competition

They are honored to announce the inaugural edition of the Late Advocate Arjun Lal Agarwal National Moot Court Competition, a prestigious tribute to the legacy of a legal luminary who dedicated his life to justice and advocacy.

This national-level competition offers budding legal minds a platform to showcase their talent, hone their courtroom skills, and engage in stimulating legal discourse. As they celebrate Advocate Agarwal’s unwavering commitment to the law, they invite law students from across the nation to participate in this esteemed event.

The competition will be held in two stages:

  • Preliminary Round (Virtual Mode): February 10th – 11th, 2024.
  • Final Round (Physical Mode): March 2nd, 2024, in Cuttack, Odisha.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The competition is open to bona fide students enrolled in any undergraduate law course recognized by the Bar Council of India.
  • Each college/university may send a maximum of one team.
  • A team shall consist of three members: Two speakers and One researcher.

Registration Fee

A registration fee of 1500/- will be charged per team, payable upon submission of the registration form. Teams must register by submitting the registration form along with the required fee.

    • Release of Moot Problem: January 5, 2024
    • Starting Date of Registration: January 5, 2024
    • Last Date of Registration: January 25, 2024
    • Last Date for Seeking Clarifications: January 30, 2024
    • Last Date of Submission of Memorials:
      • Electronic Submission- February 5, 2024 (5 pm)
      • Hard Copy Submission- (On or before) February 10, 2024
      • Announcement of the list of 20 qualifying teams: February 15, 2024
      • Draw of Lots for the Preliminary Rounds & Exchange of Memorials: February 15, 2024
      • Researcher’s Test: February 16, 2024
      • Oral Rounds (Preliminary): February 17 and 18, 2024
      • Announcement of the Qualifying Teams for the Final Round: February 20, 2024
      • Semi-Final & Final (Physical Mode): March 9, 2024
