Meet your Course Instructor

Meenu Padha is an accomplished Advocate and dedicated women and child rights activist with a notable four-year track record of actively addressing women and child rights issues in Jammu and Kashmir. Holding various positions at both the regional and international levels, she is the Founder of Padha Law Associates. Additionally, she serves as an External member (IC) at the Department of Telecommunications, Jammu and Kashmir, as an External Member of the Internal Committee at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra (Jammu and Kashmir), and the EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.

She has been appointed as a National Advisor of Embark Care Foundation, India, and is a Co-Founder of Masti Ki Pathshala, an informal school for underprivileged children in Jammu. Furthermore, she serves as an Ambassador of the International Child Abuse Prevention Program (My Body Is My Body) and has spoken on Women and Child Rights issues at more than 100 platforms across India. Her overarching goal is to raise awareness among women and children about their basic, constitutional, fundamental, and statutory rights.

  • Drafting a Basic Rent Agreement: Key clauses and legal considerations.
  • Drafting a Right to Information (RTI) Application:
  • Drafting an Affidavit.

Module 2:

  • Drafting of Writ Petition before High Court and Supreme Court, with special emphasis on Habeas Corpus.
  • Drafting of Public Interest Litigation (PIL): Understanding PIL and its use for social causes.
  • Drafting an Interlocutory Application.
  • Drafting a Plaint and Written Statement: Understanding the structure and content of these documents in civil litigation.

Module 3:

  • Drafting of Divorce Petition under Hindu Marriage Act.
  • Drafting of Civil Suit for Recovery of Money.
  • Drafting an execution petition.
  • Drafting of Complaint under Protection of Women from the Domestic Violence Act, 2005
  • Drafting a complaint under Protection of Women from Sexual Harassment Act, 2013.

Module 4:

  • Understanding First Information Report (FIR): Purpose and format of FIRs.
  • Drafting of Complaint to Magistrate.
  • Drafting a bail application.
  • Drafting a Quashing Petition.
  • Drafting of Maintenance Petition under section 125 Code of Criminal Procedure.
  • Other miscellaneous topics.
