About Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS)

The Saveetha Medical and Educational Trust was created in 1986 mainly to provide medical relief, to promote Education and encourage Research. The Trust started a Saveetha Dental College and established an attached General Hospital in the year 1988. To fulfil the norms of the University Grants Commission, for the purpose of obtaining “Deemed to be University” status, Saveetha Medical and Educational Trust has sponsored another Trust (viz.) Saveetha Institute of Medical & Technical Sciences (SIMATS) in the year 2001. Subsequently, the said Trust (SIMATS) was declared as “Deemed to be University”. SIMATS is Ranked 29th among all Government and private Universities, IITs, IIMs in MHRD NIRF ranking 2020 and sustained its position among the top 50 Universities in the country consecutively for the last three years. SIMATS is one of the 15 Private Universities in the country to enjoy complete Academic Autonomy based on the continued good rankings. SIMATS ranked 66th in overall category.

About the Competition

Moot Court is going to be developed into a key extracurricular activity in Saveetha School of Law, as the College feels that mooting helps the law students the best. The College deems it as a right path to reach out to the future needs of legal aspirants and to recognize their talent and help them improve their skills of drafting and mooting. After successfully conducting the four editions of Jus Amicus National Moot Court Competition, the Management this year is very happy to add up one more Moot Court Competition from 1st to 3rd of February, 2024. to the list. Therefore, here stands the Saveetha School of Law conducting, its 5th Jus Amicus National Moot Court Competition.

Eligibility & Registration

• The Competition is open to students currently enrolled in B. Degree Courses (3 year/5 year) recognized by the Bar Council of India.
• A team is not permitted to have members from more than one institution.
• The maximum number of teams from an institution shall not exceed 3.

• There shall be scrutiny of teams through Memorial Screening
• All teams are required to send soft copies of their memorials for Memorial Screening round before 4th January 2024 (11:59 M. IST) through a google form that will be shared.
• The Registration Fee is INR 4,000 per
