ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

RANKA PUBLIC CHARITABLE TRUST

The Trust was set up by Late Dr. N.M. Ranka, Senior Advocate in the year 1980. The Trust has pioneered the concept of Moot Court Competitions in the State of Rajasthan, and we take pleasure in announcing 10th Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition-2024. Justice J.K. Ranka, Retd. Judge, Rajasthan High Court (Vice Chairman, Ranka Public Charitable Trust).

The trust also provides scholarship to needy students and provides free medicines and food to poor patients from time to time. The Trust also grants donation to likeminded Trusts carrying out works of philanthropy, education, old age homes, etc.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

The purpose of 10th Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition-2024 is to create an environment that closely mirrors the dynamics of real court proceedings. The previous editions of the Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition witnessed tremendous success driven by zeal and competitive spirit amongst the participants all over the nation and around the world, which was appreciated by the judges and the participants alike. Manipal University Jaipur is now all set to achieve a new benchmark in its 10th Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition in 2024.

ELIGIBILITY

The Competition is open to all students, enrolled bona-fide on a regular basis in an undergraduate law course.
A recognized institution shall be entitled to send only one team to the competition.
Any additional member or team coach accompanying a team will not be entitled to a certificate.
The students from different Universities/institutes are not allowed to form an Inter-College, Team.

TEAM COMPOSITION

Each team shall comprise of three (3) members ONLY i.e. Two (2) speakers and one (1) researcher. The role of the participants shall remain the same throughout the competition.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

The Registration process shall be as follows:

Teams are required to register for the competition from August 14, 2024, to September 14, 2024, by 23:59 IST.
The Registration form completed with all team details must be submitted online only along with the payment of INR 3000/- (for Indian participants).
Once the registration is done Teams will get the confirmation email. Team Codes will be intimated later.
Participation of the teams in the 10th Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition-2024 is subject to the acceptance/selection of the memorial and payment of the full registration fee mentioned herewith. For this purpose, the team will be deemed to have been “formally registered” only upon the payment of the full registration fee.
The registration fee for Indian participants is INR 9000, payable in two parts. A non-refundable sum of INR 3000 is payable at the time of filing the registration form. The remaining sum of INR 6000 (inclusive of food and accommodation) is payable after the communication of acceptance of the memorial by the Competition Organisation Committee.

PRIZE AND AWARDS

Certificate for participation will be given to all the participants.
Prize Money of the Competition is as follows:
